Air Batu Campur or ABC

Easily one of the most popular desserts in Malaysia. It is filled to the brim with shaved ice and a variety of condiments such as red beans, crushed groundnuts, creamed corn and colourful jelly. It is sweetened with condensed milk and sugar syrup.


TEH TARIK

Teh tarik literally means stretched or pulled tea. It gets its name from the art of pulling (or pouring) the tea from one mug to another, to increase the aroma and cool its temperature.



LAKSA

This is one of the popular dish at Pulau Pinang. A bowl of steamed spaghetti-sized rice vermicelli is first generously garnished with finely sliced vegetables including onions, cucumber, red chillis, pineapple, lettuce, mint and pink bunga kantan (ginger buds)



NASI BRIYANI

Rich and satisfying, nasi briyani is a great choice for rice lovers. Briyani is a special type of rice grain, infused with saffron and turmeric. It is cooked together with chicken, egg or lamb, creating a sensation of aromatic flavours and tastes. Briyani rice is served with curry and traditioanl yogurt salad.


NASI DAGANG

Nasi Dagang is a most popular dish at Terengganu and Kelantan. It is a Malaysian and Southern Thai dish consisting of rice steamed in coconut milk, fish curry and extra ingredients such as fried shaved coconut, hard boiled egg and vegetable pickles.



NASI KERABU

Nasi Kerabu is a type of Nasi Ulam, in which blue coloured rice is eaten with dried fish or fried chicken, crackers, pickles and other salads. It is often eaten with Solok Lada and is also eaten with fried keropok. This dish is very popular at Kelantan and Terengganu.



NASI LEMAK

A perennial favourite, nasi lemak is rice cooked in coconut milk and enhanced with spices such as ginger, star anise and cinnamon. This wholesome dish is served with fried anchovies, boiled eggs, a spicy sauce called sambal, fresh slices of cucumber and crunchy groundnuts.



RENDANG

Rendang is a thick, dry Malay dish that is made of beef or chicken. It is usually eaten with white rice or glutinous rice (stickey rice). Rendang is a must have specialty during Hari Raya, a major muslim festival.


ROTI CANAI

Roti Canai is a crispy Indian pancake which is made from wheat flour. It is easily one of the most popular choises in Malaysian restaurants at any time of the day. Other Indian dish include thosai and capathi.
When you order roti canai, don't miss the chance to watch the experts pound, stretch and toss the dough before it is cooked on a griddle. 



SATAY

Satay is Malaysia's signature dish. It consists of skewers of meat, barbecued over charcoal fire. Satay is savoured with fresh cucumber and a thick peanut dip.


  

ROJAK

A traditional fruit and vegetables salad, rojak consists of chopped cucumber, young mangoes, pinapple turnip, deep fried tofu and fritters. It is served with a thick sauce made of shrimp paste. Anather variation of rojak, known as Mamak Rojak, consist of prawn fritters, boiled potatoes, cuttefish and hard-boiled eggs. It is savoured with a peanut gravy. You also can try Pasembor almost same like mamak rojak only at Pulau Pinang.

VISIT MALAYSIA 2014 (MALAYSIA TRULY ASIA)

Salam sayang semua..

Tahun ini tahun melawat Malaysia, sebagai rakyat Malaysia CA berasa sangat bangga dan berbesar hati menerima kunjungan para pelancong luar negara. Kerajaan telah memperuntukkan berbilion ringgit untuk mempromosikan Malaysia dimata dunia. Jumlah yang banyak tu bukannya sedikit. Jadi sebagai rakyat Malaysia kita juga tidak terlepas dari memikul tanggungjawab untuk membantu mempromosikan Malaysia. 

Siapa yang terlibat? dan Bagaimana nak bantu promosi?
  • Kerajaan - dah memperuntukkan berbilion ringgit untuk tujuan promosi.
  • Agensi pelancongan - masa ni la boleh buat duit tapi tolonglah sediakan pakej yang istimewa dan berkualiti. Jangan ambil kesempatan terhadap pelancong nanti buruk nama negara kita.
  • Mereka yang terlibat dengan pengangkutan (bas, teksi, keretapi dll) - fasih berbahasa inggeris, mesra dan sedia untuk memberi perkhidmatan yang berkualiti. Jangan ambil kesempatan pula dengan menaikkan harga terutama pemandu teksi!
  • Mereka yang terlibat dengan penginapan (perhotelan, homestay dll) - fasih berbahasa inggeris, mesra dan pastikan perkhidmatan yang diberi berkualiti.
  • Diri kita sendiri - mesra, sedia membantu para pelancong seperti mampu menjawab soalan para pelancong dengan baik dan berbudi bahasa. Tak reti berbahasa inggeris takpe gunala bahasa isyarat tak reti juga tolonglah bawa mereka kepada sesiapa yang paham.... jangan terus blah macam tu aje tinggalkan mereka, kesian la dekat mereka...bayangkan kalau perkara yang sama terjadi pada kita... sakit ati tak?? CA harap sangat rakyat Malaysia tunjukkanlah tingkah laku yang baik...janganlah nak buat demostrasi disaat ramai pelancong datang ke negara kita. Lagi satu perkara yang merisaukan CA para pencopek dan penjenayah ni...nak cakap banyak pun buang air liur je yang penting beramai-ramai la kita mendoakan kesejahteraan Malaysia dan jauhkanlah negara kita ni dari malapetaka. Semoga tahun ini memberi kebahagiaan kepada semua...
Ini apa yang terlintas difikiran CA sahaja. Lagipun ketika menaip entri ini CA tunggu masa nak balik dari sekolah. Hari inikan Jumaat jadi tiba-tiba tangan ni gatal nak menaip. Apa yang CA nak sampaikan adalah jaga KUALITI, TINGKAH LAKU dan BUDAYA kita...salam sayang semoga bertemu lagi...nanti ada masa CA akan ceritakan aneka makanan yang sedap lagi lazat di Malaysia..adios..
